Double Trap Shooting
D.T. - Double Trap........
Double Trap Layout
Shooters move through a series of five adjacent shooting stations, shooting at one pair of targets at each shooting station. Gun position is optional but shooters usually pre-mount their shotguns prior to calling for the target. Target release is voice activated however a random delay ranging from 0 to 1 sec. has been introduced between the time the shooter calls for the target and the target being released from the trap
Double Trap

Double Trap uses the same shooting range layout as Olympic Trap but shooters shoot at two targets which are simultaneously thrown in the air. Double Trap uses traps 7, 8 and 9 from the Olympic Trap range, the three in front of Stand 3.
The left-hand trap (7) throws targets to the right (up to 5o from center), the center trap (8) throws straight-away targets and the right-hand trap (9) throws targets to the left (up to 5o from center). Vertical elevation of targets is 3.0-3.5 m. at a distance of 10 m. from the trap. The length of the target trajectory in windless conditions is 55 m.

¡ Which target to shoot first - learn to shoot the "easiest" one first
¡ Vision and Focus - where to look to pick up the targets - again very important
¡ Preparation and the mental game - what to think about while waiting your turn to shoot
¡ Fault Diagnosis - analysis of what you are doing wrong
¡ Reason and Remedy - why you're doing it and how to correct it
